2022 ESAA National Specialty

Hosted by English Setter Association of America

The English Setter Association of America is excited to welcome its members and friends from around the world to experience our National Specialty, October 31 - November 4, 2022, at the Founders Inn & Spa in historic Virginia Beach, VA.  Your week may start with our Agility Trial in Richmond, VA, then travel less than an hour down the road to Founders Inn on Monday for our Rally/Obedience Trial and the Central Carolina English Setter Club Specialty and end with Junior Showmanship, the Versatility Parade and Best of Breed on Friday.   These events will be held on the grounds of the hotel, so unless you want to see the ocean or other sights in the area,

there is no reason to drive anywhere once you have arrived.

The Founders Inn boasts award-winning dining and a full-service spa. The 26 acre grounds include a serene lake and lovely Colonial gardens, giving us a location that will make the 2022 ESAA National Specialty unforgettable.  Amenities and guest services include:  in-house restaurants and lounges, a spa and fitness center, a shuttle service, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

All hotel buildings are connected by a covered walk.  The grounds have a 145ft x 225ft large fenced dog park which is divided into two sections.

Many area attractions are nearby, including Williamsburg and Jamestown Settlement, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, The Virginia Air and Space Center, The Norfolk Botanical Garden, First Landing State Park and Old Cape Henry Lighthouse to name a few.  Virginia Beach is dog friendly and leashed dogs are welcome on the 3 miles long Boardwalk! Dogs can run free on designated beaches and there are several restaurants that welcome dogs, too.

We look forward to having you join us as we celebrate our BEAUTIFUL English Setters!

Watch this site for National developments which will be posted here

as the information becomes available.

Central Carolina English Setter Club will hold a Specialty the Monday prior to the National,

October 31, 2022.  This has proven to be a great warm-up and

ring practice for those young dogs and seasoned specials!
